As an Operations Coordinator within the ADF Health Services Contract (AHSC) team youll provide critical administrative and coordination support to drive performance. Youll ensure smooth workforce operations by contributing to the optimisation of rosters compliance and reporting whilst bringing strong administrative skills and a confident professional manner to your daily work.
This role has two focuses: coordinating the workforce and liaising with key stakeholders in your local region whilst also working as part of the National team servicing the AHSC support line that operates Monday Sunday from 5:00 am to 10.00 pm. You will be required to work a Monday to Friday shift rotation across these hours and work rostered weekends with a combination of weekend shifts and oncall requirements.
As an Operations Coordinator in the AHSC contract youll make a positive impact by:
Managing unplanned leave absences and shift backfill.
Overseeing the health workforce including maintaining accurate staff listings.
Facilitating leave approvals and contract changes.
Processing locum assignments and coordinate travel/accommodation bookings.
Coordinating recruitment onboarding and offboarding processes for staff.
Ensuring compliance with mandatory training and readiness requirements.
Collaborating with payroll to resolve rosterrelated queries and ensure accuracy.
Preparing regular and ad hoc reports for internal and client use.
Supporting the regional leadership team to optimise rosters and manage workforce needs.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong administrative capability and a confident professional manner.
Proficiency in MS Office with solid Excel skills and familiarity with tools like Power BI.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with staff and stakeholders.
Previous administrative experience ideally in a 24/7 operational environment.
Experience in clinical and/or defence environments (highly regarded).
