Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IP Operations Engineer to join our technology team in Lekki. This role is ideal for a network professional with strong hands-on experience in IP networking core infrastructure and enterprise network support. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design configuration implementation and maintenance of IP and network systems to support mission-critical services for corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on technical support for IP and core network infrastructure.
Design configure and implement IP-based network solutions for corporate clients.
Troubleshoot complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues ensuring minimal service disruption.
Maintain and upgrade core networking equipment including routers switches and firewalls.
Manage and support network monitoring tools to ensure uptime and optimal performance.
Perform network diagnostics and troubleshooting across multiple technologies.
Support Unix-based servers (RedHat CentOS Debian) and integrate them into network operations.
Ensure compliance with company SLAs responding promptly to urgent client issues.
Document technical procedures network diagrams and system configurations.
Operational & Administrative Duties:
Report directly to the Head of Department.
Maintain accountability for all assigned equipment and resources.
Demonstrate leadership and professionalism serving as a role model for junior team members.
Adhere to all departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
Stay updated on company communications and notifications.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables from start to completion.
Requirements
Required Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of TCP/IP subnetting and core routing/switching protocols.
Proficiency with Mikrotik and Cisco device configurations.
Experience with Layer 3 protocols (EIGRP OSPF BGP) and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs STP Trunks).
Ability to troubleshoot diagnose and resolve networking issues.
Knowledge of MPLS (L2VPNs L3VPNs VPLS) and LAC/LNS implementations.
Experience configuring Cisco ASA and Juniper firewalls is an added advantage.
Ability to work across multi-vendor network environments.
Familiarity with network performance tools and remote troubleshooting methods.

Education & Certification Requirements:
. in Computer Science Computer Engineering Telecommunications or related field.
CCNA certification is mandatory.
Additional certifications (CCNP Mikrotik Juniper) are a strong advantage.
