POSITION DESCRIPTION
Provide Environmental Compliance oversight and guidance for the White Wing Scrapyard remediation Heritage Center Zone 2 Soilts Heritage Center Closure and other new projects as needed. This is a deployed EC position with an office at Heritage Center.
Typical Duties include:
- Provide Guidance on installation and maintenance of erosion prevention and sediment controls.
- Prepare contamination migration control plans or stormwater pollution prevention plans; conduct inspections.
- Identify and mark environmentally sensitve areas that must not be distubred.
- Inspect work areas postvegetation clearing to determine if additional erosion prevention and sediment controls are needed.
- Attend daily project meetings to coordinate field and sampling activities.
- Perform routine compliance inspections related to NPDES permit SPCC plan and waste management areas.
- Participate in the work control process providing field oversight.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Environmental Sciences Environmental Engineering or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree is desired.
Responsibilities:
- Provide complex technical environmental support.
- Manages environmental programs and issues for a major project phase.
- Provides environmental services and oversight to projects and operations coordinates projects and environmental regulatory interactions and sets overall environmental strategy and policy.
- Acts as SME as needed
- Presents and recommends solutions to policy level envionrmental issues.
- Ensures projects acheive environmental compliance and stewardship.
