Job Description
What Youll Do
The PostProduction Supervisor will oversee a team of Lead Video Editors and work closely with the Director of PostProduction to implement department standards and process improvements. This role requires strong leadership skills technical expertise and a passion for creative excellence. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and training to direct reports with the goal of elevating editing performance across client teams.
As our industry evolves with AI technologies this position will play a crucial role in evaluating implementing and training the team on AIenhanced workflows that improve efficiency while maintaining creative quality and brand integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Media Expertise: Track social media trends platform algorithms and competitor strategies while researching emerging GenAI technologies and tools that could enhance production workflows.
- MultiPlatform Leadership: Direct teams producing both rapiditeration social content and premium deliverables for YouTube and broadcast television as we expand our fullservice capabilities.
- Team Development: Mentor Lead Video Editors across client accounts with strong actionable feedback that elevates performance and fosters professional growth.
- Innovation & Technology: Evaluate cuttingedge tools implement promising solutions and train staff on technologies that streamline production while maintaining creative excellence.
- Standards & Training: Translate performance data and competitive analysis into comprehensive department guidelines and educational resources.
- Performance Optimization: Track editor metrics against campaign outcomes to maximize ROI through datainformed productivity improvements.
- Operational Efficiency: Strategize resource allocation budgeting and organizational structures to enhance department capabilities and costeffectiveness.
- Workflow Enhancement: Identify process bottlenecks and partner with leadership to implement streamlined solutions.
Requirements
- 5 years postproduction experience with 2 years in team leadership
- Strong ability to develop editing talent through effective feedback and performance coaching
- Thorough understanding of social media platforms content trends and audience engagement drivers
- Solid traditional postproduction background with experience creating highquality deliverables for premium platforms
- Demonstrated ability to research competition analyze performance data and develop actionable best practices
- Commitment to staying current with GenAI advancements and emerging production technologies
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Suite applications
- Experience creating and implementing training programs based on platformspecific insights
- Proven track record optimizing workflows for ROI and implementing efficient production solutions
- Working knowledge of GenAI tools and their integration with postproduction processes
- Excellent communication skills with experience managing remote creative teams
- Strategic mindset balancing creative quality with business objectives and resource constraints
