We anticipate the need for one or more Material & Procurement Specialist(s) at our location in Monticello MN. This position will be posted for 10 working days from April 30th 2025 to May 13th 2025.
The starting rate of pay for this position is $26.63 hourly and will be flexible depending on the candidates experience and skills and may reach up to the thereafter rate of $45.76 per hour in Exhibit A of the Union contract.
Summary
Perform activities in all areas of materials handling and control which include but not limited to using company software programs supporting ordering receiving packaging storing cycle counting maintenance and issuing materials for power plant operation and maintenance. Additionally will be required to operate vehicles or vehicles with trailer combinations onsite and offsite that do not exceed 26000 pounds. Must be willing to work extended hours including alternate shifts to meet plant and customer requirements.
Minimum Requirements
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Training or previous experience in materials logistics or one year of postsecondary education.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
5. PC literate.
Special Requirements
1. Must have a valid drivers license.
2. Must be able to work overtime as required.
3. Actively participate in handson training required classroom training and computer interactive
training programs as directed by supply chain management.
4. Applicant is required to successfully pass the Xcel Energy screening requirements which
include a drug test and security clearance.
5. Possess and maintain a DOT Health Card; or able obtain a DOT Health Card within 6 months of
hire into classification.
6. Maintain forklift training qualifications or obtain forklift qualifications within 6 months.
7. Other exams which are required by federal regulations such as OSHA and DOT may be
performed.
