Job Summary
As an Associate in the Business Research Center you will be at the forefront of delivering critical intelligence to JPMorgans global network. You will collaborate with a team of information professionals to support our investment bankers and executives with timely and cost-effective research. Your role is vital to the success of our firm and the wider community as you help drive informed decision-making.
Job Responsibilities:
Field inquiries from bankers on financial matters industry sectors individuals economics companies transactions markets and demographics.
Utilize and master databases such as Factset LSEG S&P CapIQ Factiva Westlaw IHS MergerMarket Bloomberg Dealogic and others.
Manage time-sensitive demands while utilizing the most cost-efficient sources.
Clearly communicate findings to BRC clients.
Provide administrative support to the team and management.
Collaborate as part of a larger global team.
Deliver high-quality professional client service.
Adhere to departmental billing protocols.
Work quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
Bachelors degree from an accredited university.
Masters degree in Library & Information Science or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of experience in related research.
Strong understanding of finance and economics.
Familiarity with bulge bracket broker research firms and major U.S. corporations.
Willingness to master new databases and stay updated with Factset LSEG S&P/CapIQ Factiva Lexis IHS MergerMarket Bloomberg Dealogic Boardview and others.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment prioritizing multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
Experience with additional databases and research tools.
Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality client service in a professional setting.

This position is subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. As such an employment offer for this position is contingent on JPMorgan Chases review of criminal conviction history including pretrial diversions or program entries.
