Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Engineer as part of a team that provides enterprisewide systems engineering support to satellite operations activities. The selected candidate will join a skilled O&M team working in a 24/7 operations environment. As such availability for nonscheduled callin is required. The O&M team is responsible for all aspects of Operations Planning and Command and Control including monitoring daytoday activities as well as identifying and solving challenging problems as they occur. After completion of comprehensive onthejob training the candidate will be a part of a certified team of subject matter experts that are integral to our customers success. Location: Near Springfield Virginia
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement a daily operations plan using complex software and hardware systems to satisfy customer requirements.
- Obtain/maintain technical knowledge of a large repository of formal procedures with the responsibility to accurately select and apply the correct procedure(s) depending on the specific scenario; obtain/apply technical knowledge on various hardware/software systems.
- Report and document anomalous performance and interact with other team members to validate operational requirements performance.
- Contribute to the testing readiness training and implementation of new process deliveries.
- Crosstrain in other operational positions as assigned and assist with the training of other personnel on the contract team.
- Support test activities as necessary.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience communicating orally and in writing with leadership teams and other engineering groups.
- Experience executing presentations.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience collaborating and interacting with customers and engineering teams.
- An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience working in a virtual environment and collaborating with geographically dispersed engineering groups.
- Experience with both Windows and Unix platforms.
- Experience with Perl Python JAVA and other scripting languages.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
