Job Description

Role: Business Development Director
Location: Calgary Canada
Reports to: Regional Sales Vice President

Position Overview

Were seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Director to lead revenue growth and client engagement across the Oil & Gas sector. This is an ideal opportunity for a consultative sales leader with deep domain expertise a hunter mentality and a proven ability to close complex servicebased deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales revenue from engineering and technology service offerings to clients and prospects within the assigned region.

  • Travel regionally and nationally to pursue and secure target accounts.

  • Build and maintain strong trustbased relationships with Oil & Gas customers (Upstream/Downstream).

  • Develop and execute compelling sales presentations tailored to client needs.

  • Identify qualify and develop legitimate sales opportunities with a consultative valuedriven approach.

  • Negotiate contractual terms and ensure seamless transitions to proposal and technical delivery teams.

  • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified sales opportunities to support continuous growth.

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align offerings with client objectives.

  • Drive account strategy and build longterm relationships with prospective clients.

  • Represent the organization as a strategic partner capable of delivering engineering excellence and digital innovation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 1215 years total with a minimum of 5 years in the Oil & Gas industry and 3 years in a similar business development role.
  • Deep understanding of the Upstream/Downstream segments within Oil & Gas with a track record of successful engineering service sales.
  • Proven success in selling servicebased brownfield project contracts. Experience in winning highvalue nonproductbased deals.
  • Ability to engage Clevel stakeholders and build longlasting strategic relationships.
  • Experience selling complex solutions via a valuedriven collaborative process.
  • Ability to assess client needs build tailored solutions and guide decisionmaking at the executive level.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft and deliver impactful presentations.
  • Understands business drivers metrics and organizational behavior to shape and influence client priorities.
  • Highly organized capable of multitasking and effective in fastpaced highgrowth environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience selling engineering services to Oil & Gas operators (Upstream/Downstream).

  • Demonstrated success with brownfield project bids.

  • Familiarity with digital services including Control & Automation Instrumentation Data Analytics and System Integration is a plus.

  • Exposure to onsite/offshore and global delivery models is highly preferred.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required
