Description:
The client is looking to hire an Associate Principal for its Los Angeles headquarters. This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing large and complex structural engineering projects while actively supporting business development team management and client relations. In this role the Associate Principal contributes to the firms strategic expansion by securing new projects cultivating client partnerships and mentoring emerging leaders within the structural engineering field.
MustHave Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 12 years of building design experience.
Education: Masters degree in Structural Engineering from a U.S. university.
License: SE License (required).
Technical Expertise:
Strong experience with Type I construction (steel and concrete structures).
Ability to design and detail large complex structural systems across multiple market sectors.
Proven ability to lead teams of engineers and BIM designers.
Strong track record in seismic evaluation and retrofit design (ASCE 41 is a plus).
Experience with DSA and HCAI/OSHPD is a plus.
Leadership & Business Development:
Recognized as a leader in the industry with established client relationships.
Strong business acumen and ability to develop and maintain new clients.
Ability to act as a decisive leader and mentor within the firm.

Specialized expertise in a specific technical area or market sector.
Experience working on highrise commercial aviation healthcare and institutional projects.
Strong communication leadership and problemsolving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage largescale structural engineering projects from concept through completion.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships ensuring highquality project delivery.
Oversee project teams (engineers BIM designers) and ensure successful of designs.
Provide technical leadership in complex structural systems particularly in Type I construction.
Contribute to business development efforts securing new projects and expanding the firms portfolio.
Collaborate with architects contractors and consultants to ensure innovative and cost effective solutions.
Mentor and develop future leaders within the firm.
