As a Senior Engineering Manager you will serve as the top technical authority at a FAA Repair Station leading an engineering team in support of complex aerospace electronic repairs. You will play a vital role in shop floor performance special investigations and continuous improvement ensuring that the technical integrity of our electronic repair processes meet the highest standards of quality reliability and compliance.
What You Will Do
Lead develop and mentor a team of Operational Support Engineers and Test Support Engineers ensuring high performance and technical excellence.
Act as the engineering focal point for the site with authority over process decisions rework instructions and highlevel troubleshooting. Develop and implement new tools and training programs to make the shop floors troubleshooting process more efficient.
Partner with Quality and Operations to resolve production issues and ensure seamless shop floor execution.
Own the CAPEX and critical spares budget for shop floor modernization innovation and technology investments at the site.
Oversee special investigations ensuring robust root cause analysis and partner with customers and service engineering to implement corrective/preventive actions.
Govern the rework instruction process followed by the shop floor leveraging strong engineering documentation practices.
Review warranty claims from customers validate new technical documents and ensure all work complies with program and regulatory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and automation to improve quality cycle time and cost.
Partner with Program Management on new product introductions (NPIs) capacity planning and technology roadmap execution.
Provide input for facilities projects regarding test equipment and other shop equipment.
Support customer calls and provide technical input.
Continue development of the sites Innovation Hub.
Lead the development of tool control solutions and own the tool selection process used by the shop floor.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
Prior engineering leadership experience within a manufacturing industry especially in an Aftermarket business.
Working experience with electronic systems boardlevel troubleshooting and production test environments.
Experience leading CAPEX projects and implementing process improvements in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to work across functions and lead investigations involving product quality and process performance.
Experience leading projects implementing new digital technology and automation.

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
