As a growing firm we are looking for talented and ambitious professionals to join our team. Currently we are seeking a Special Counsel to support the work of our Melbourne team. In this role you will be exposed to a variety of insurance matters.

This opportunity involves working directly with our Principal Ingrid Nunnink.

Ingrids practice includes defending health practitioners and health/aged care service providers as well as public liability claims (including abuse law catastrophic injuries psychiatric injury and coronial matters).

Who are you

• Around 8 years post admission

• Experience in insurance law including liability personal injury and institutional sexual abuse claims.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills that are adaptable to the audience

• Selfmotivated and able to work at pace

• Ability to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously

• Practical and client focused in solving problems

• Previous exposure to business development with a natural ability to cultivate quality relationships with our industry leading clients

• A team player who can collaborate on work and has the skills to coach mentor and develop junior staff and gains satisfaction from seeing them succeed
