Role Overview:
Looking for a rewarding internship Veranovas 2025 Internship Program will allow you to partake in meaningful roles that will prepare you for your future.

The scope of each placement is designed to promote team building develop personal skills and technical skillset. You will receive guidance and career advice along the way. You will also participate in various different workshops specifically designed to assist you in building the critical skills needed in the workplace.
We offer a competitive hourly program consists of a 1012week internship at our Devens MA location.
This Summer Internship projectwill be focused on developing a machine learning model and user interface that assists chemists in optimizing reaction kinetics workflows. The project draws inspiration from the OpenSource platform and recent advances in modeling chemical kinetics.
This role will work closely with various departments within Veranova including the engineering team laboratory scientists familiar with microscopy techniques engineers for microscope integration and IT support.
Key Objectives:
- Develop an ML model that can predict reaction kinetics parameters from experimental timeseries data
- Create an intuitive web interface for chemists to upload analyze and visualize kinetic data
- Implement automated extraction of rate constants and model selection capabilities
- Design interactive visualization tools for reaction progress and parameter sensitivity analysis
- Build a framework for suggesting optimal reaction conditions based on learned models
Qualifications:
- Working towards a BS in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Material Science or related field
- Minimum Overall GPA of 2.7 required
- Programming proficiency in Python
- Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch TensorFlow or JAX)
- Understanding of differential equations and numerical methods
- Basic knowledge of chemical kinetics (preferred)
- Web development experience (React or similar frameworks)
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a true career aspiration to be a leader
- Must be adaptable strive for excellence and demonstrate a positive attitude in the face of adversity
- Strong interpersonal skills a must coupled with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results
