Alfred Health is seeking a part-time Specialist in Chemical Pathology to be based at Western Health (new Footscray Hospital).
The Chemical Pathology unit provides routine diagnostic services including urgent biochemistry endocrinology therapeutic drug monitoring and point-of-care services.
The successful applicant will be primarily involved in the day to day operations of the Chemical Pathology laboratories at NFH and Sunshine Hospitals and point-of-care services at peripheral hospital and medical sites. They will work with current medical and scientific staff to ensure high level patient care maintenance of quality and performance standards and regulatory compliance.
Applicants must be legally qualified practitioners registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (or equivalent) with Chemical Pathology specialisation. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Chemical Pathology is required as well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Chemical Pathology.
