JOB PURPOSE
Unilever International (UI) as part of Unilever is committed to ensure that our products are fully compliant with local legislations across the globe and meets Unilevers own high internal standards as well as with the technical aspects of legislation. UI Regulatory Affairs team leads this mandate and supports the entire Unilever International portfolio across the globe dealing with a wide variety in compliance activities and interacts with across functions in Unilever. This role will manage regulatory & product compliance requirements for UI portfolio and innovation projects across Americas PC & BW. For regulatory advocacy and expertise this role will work with Unilever Regulatory Affairs community as well as with external Regulatory Experts in all clusters.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
- To design and maintain processes to support UI business in product compliance assurance for PC & BW products in Americas (USA Canada & LATAM)
- To build & maintain a strong network of global contacts in R&D Marketing Supply Chain Legal SERS etc. to facilitate assurance of product compliance for UI
- To work with external experts create of an ecosystem of RPs (Regulatory Partners i.e. regulatory consultants) & continuously monitor their performance for Americas.
- Evaluate and advice the prop 65 requirements contaminants monitoring for UI innovation/renovation projects
- Coordinate and ensure compliance of existing portfolio of UI products affected by new regulation changes in a geography.
- Act as first point of contact for any regulatory queries for PC & BW products for UI Europe UK and Middle East teams.
- To be digitally salient to embrace and incorporate digital processes for Regulatory Affairs.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
- Fully operational knowledge in RA for cosmetics in North America region.
- Working knowledge of R&D operations: formulations products Raw materials etc.
- Strong ability to design processes and to spread best practice
- Strong Business acumen agility & personal mastery.
- Independent problemsolving personality that can delegate up and down and works well with multifunctional teams
- Excellent communicator who can engage senior leaders and enthuse operational teams
- Be able to work flexibly and agile
- Fluent in English and preferably also fluent in Spanish
Skills
- Bachelors degree/ masters degree in engineering / science / related disciplines
- 46 years of experience on handing cosmetics regulations in a region / category
- Excellence verbal/written communication skills in English is a must
- Being multilingual is highly desirable & ability to work with people across cultures
- Multitasking ability & ability to work independently with Crossfunctional team members
- A person with strong business understanding will be preferred
- Having working knowledge on majority of the Unilever digital tools will be an advantage.
- Travelling will be required (<10%)

Pay: The pay range for this position is $86080 to $129120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications qualifications and education and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
LongTerm Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
