Job Description

Technical Service Representative Decatur IL

Position Summary: Technical Service Representative for NHN is responsible for supporting the growth and defending the base business with main focus on Vitamin E and Sterols and Isoflavones with some support for Fibersol.

Responsible for executing daily business support needs to for global NHN customer base. Work with Cross functional team for the business to support sales and customer needs. Collaboration is key as they work to promote positive initiatives that include commercial sales supply chain operations customer support CD&D and R&D.

Strategy
  • Provide global technical support for NHN and some Fibersol
  • Handle incoming requests (phone email and internet) from customers end users and sales managers regarding technical questions product information and complaints using internal data and resources all with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Liaison with Quality teams both corporate and plant support review of customer complaints work with team members to take required course of action follow up to ensure full resolution of the complaint
  • Communicate with customer base on all facets of technical details including product specifications analytical details ingredient functionality and properties applications regulatory food safety and product quality issues
  • Liaison between research and commercial on customer application support customer demos/prototypes tradeshows.
  • Liaison between customer and quality/manufacturing on quality matters including complaints specification requirements audits and satisfying customer requests for quality related information.
  • Assist sales team in promoting technical advantages of product line versus competitive products.
  • Provide technical training to division sales and management team.
  • Assist product and sales managers with relevant projects where necessary.
Market
  • Develop intimate understanding of competitive market dynamics at supplier customer and consumer level
  • Develop and maintain competitive analysis materials comparing product line with its key competitors from raw material production cost and quality perspective
  • Understand the global supply and demand for the product line in order to support sales team
  • Identify and understand key drivers for markets in which the product line serves
  • Secure and communicate market information/intelligence from a technical perspective to help understand the global marketplace of the product lines
  • Identify new opportunities through innovative new product and application ideas
  • Execute special projects that develop as the market changes and expands
Team
  • Work with specialists to develop intellectual property strategy for NHN that maximizes product life cycle
  • Drive sales through successful collaboration with ADM sales force operations commercial as well as R & D
  • Drive innovation projects related to the product line (R&D)
  • Support global sales force by providing product information and addressing specific customer needs.
Customer
  • Support new valueadded partnerships
  • Increase brand equity by building consumer and customer awareness by providing technical support
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in a Science discipline
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong Leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
  • A strong work ethic
  • Travel about 20% for training education and customer interaction

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Hourly and salaried nonexempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
