GroceryX Organization within the Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores Tech (WWGST) is revolutionizing online grocery shopping creating seamless experiences that enable customers to shop however and wherever they prefer. Our team builds scalable solutions that power convenient fast and consistent grocery shopping experiences worldwide.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer youll architect and develop endtoend technical solutions for complex business challenges within our dynamic fastpaced environment. Youll work across our tech stack from frontend development to backend systems ensuring high performance and scalability.
Key job responsibilities
What Youll Do:
Design and implement scalable solutions using JavaScript Java Spring and AWS services
Lead architectural decisions and technical direction for major initiatives
Mentor team members and collaborate across functions to deliver integrated solutions
Drive continuous improvement through code quality testing and technical debt reduction
Provide handson development for complex features while maintaining engineering excellence
Partner with product teams to understand requirements and deliver localized solutions.

Experience in designing and building largescale distributed systems
Good technical expertise across fullstack development
Excellence in problemsolving and architectural design
Track record of delivering customerfocused solutions
Ability to thrive in an agile fastpaced environment

5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
