SKIS Painting is a 50 year old commercial painting contractor located in Renton Washington. At SKIS we pride ourselves on delivering awardwinning painting services and highly knowledgeable customer service to our clients around the Puget Sound and across Washington State. Our Team is dedicated to excellence and we are looking for a talented Project Accountant to join us in maintaining our high standards and supporting our growth. This position requires a friendly demeanor and helpful expertise of our processes that will drive solutions to completion. SKIS uses Trimble Spectrum as its main financial system of entry.
Job Summary:
TheProject Accountant role is responsible for collaborating with our Estimators and Project Managers to manage the financial aspect of our commercial painting projects. This position will be the central contact for client billing inquiries and requests will assist our Estimators and PMs with project financial compliance and efficiency and maintain detailed records of transactions and project documentation in our system. The Project Accountant will also be responsible for other fullcycle Accounts Receivable duties such as payment processing collections and Client/Job onboarding and setup.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate and work together with Sales and Project Management to establish regular Project billing cycles
- Ensure efficient accurate entry of monthly Project billing per Project billing cycle
- Manage and update Client project SOV forms per completion status
- Draft and execute Unconditional and Conditional Waivers as needed
- Process and manage Client vendor management applications including invoice import payment receipt confirmation update of SOV amounts and execution of risk management documents
- Maintain entry of all Change Order Requests for PM update to Change Orders
- Maintain entry of New Job setupinto system
- Receipt and processing of all Client payments via ACH remote check deposit and application of OCIP/CCIP PLP allocations.
- Respond to all Client inquiries and AR disputes
- Month end duties include collections audit of Job status to drive issuance of retention and job closure
- Obtain expertise and advise as Subject Matter Expert on Spectrum Accounts Receivable module
Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products
- Must have Trimble Construction One (formerly Spectrum by Viewpoint) accounting software experience
- 4 years of experience in construction accounting or as Project Accountant
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with focus on deadlines and results
- Competent Excel skills including VLookupsand Pivot Tables
- Initiative to solve issues to resolution
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit stand walk frequently may sit and stand as needed.
- Ability to bend and stretch occasionally.
- Ability to reach above shoulders and below waist occasionally.
- Ability to lift to 10 Ibs. occasionally.
- Ability to climb stairs (office located on 2nd floor no elevator)
