You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis position manages a staff of training and development personnel who are responsible for training for DMPS acute and long term care eligibility staff provider enrollment staff and all staff when the topic impacts the division as a whole. This involves goal setting and conducting needs assessments evaluating training methods and measures developing training plans developing and editing training programs and maintaining training records. This position interacts with all levels of management and works closely with AHCCCS Policy and other related state agencies. Identify training methods that are innovative and test and develop training applications and training websites. Statewide Travel may be required.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide management and guidance to Training Officers who respond to training needs analysis and provide training facilitation. Distribute work assignments and monitor workloads. Review and approve assignments for completeness accuracy and timeliness. Oversee the development and revision to training materials and announcements and some procedural documentation.
Work with DMPS management and other AHCCCS divisions management as well as other state agencies to find training needs. Maintain an extensive knowledge in Medicaid and State and Federal laws and procedures. Evaluate training after delivery to gauge its effectiveness.
Evaluate staff conduct coaching and carry out personnel actions as necessary. Lead AMS Lean initiatives and projects for the division and unit.
Assist with the management and maintenance of the DMPS SharePoint site. Evaluates AHCCCS computer system enhancements system requirements and training applications and any tools necessary for specialized and adult learning.
Provide feedback and assist in establishing procedures with policy changes and AHCCCS computer system changes.
Knowledge:
Adult learning theories and principles.
Training strategies training development and delivery and evaluation.
Extensive knowledge in State and Federal Medicaid policies and procedures rules and regulations and laws.
Medical and financial eligibility rules policies procedures and practices.
State Personnel Rules and DMPS performance measures.
Arizona Management System and lean concepts.
Project development organization and prioritizing.
Needs assessment methodology research techniques and data collection and analysis.
Skills:

Navigate in HealtheArizona Plus and communicate issues to others.
Arizona Driver License
Minimum: Three years of related experience such as health or eligibility programs appropriate to the assignment and one year of supervisory experience.
Preferred: College degree in a field appropriate to the assignment may substitute for some professional experience.
Successfully pass fingerprint background check prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the abovementioned process and the agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
