Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psychiatry Consultant to join a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team. As a Psychiatry Consultant you will play a crucial role in providing highquality care and support for children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments of children and adolescents
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
  • Providing evidencebased psychiatric interventions and treatment modalities
  • Offering consultation supervision and education to other team members
  • Participating in case conferences and contributing to care planning
  • Collaborating with community agencies and resources to facilitate continuity of care for patients
  • Upholding ethical and professional standards of practice

Qualifications

  • Medical degree and completion of residency training in psychiatry
  • Full registration with the GMC and eligibility for specialist registration in psychiatry
  • Extensive experience working in child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Strong understanding of evidencebased practices in psychiatry and child and adolescent mental health
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous quality improvement
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Daytoday

As a Psychiatry Consultant within this CAMHS team you will be responsible for providing psychiatric assessments developing treatment plans and delivering evidencebased interventions for children and adolescents. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals participate in case conferences and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services. Your role will involve working directly with patients families and community partners to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care. Additionally you will have opportunities to engage in professional development supervision and education within the organization.
