Job Description

Role: Director ofSales

What youll be doing as Director of Sales:

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Regional Director of Sales & Marketing to develop a marketing plan targeting market niches and segments.
  • Monitor and review sales production adjusting activities and priorities to achieve goals.
  • Establish account qualification criteria and use market research to identify and prioritize accounts.
  • Maintain responsibility for selected key accounts.
  • Ensure frequent and open communication between the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing and properties.
  • Set up and oversee a sales administration system for portfolio and database management.
  • Optimize room utilization by assessing demand and supply.
  • Lead manage and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve budgeted sales.
  • Establish team sales goals and allocate key accounts to team members.
  • Direct the sales team in achieving annual business targets representing the hotel in external sales presentations and negotiating contracts with customers and vendors.

What were looking for:

  • Proven Sales experience in the hospitality industry with knowledge of the Saudi Arabia market.
  • Prior experience gained from working in hotel/serviced apartment market.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage own and others tasks through to conclusion.
  • Resourceful and able to think creatively.
  • Literacy in software applications preferably in travel and hospitality operating software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a range of activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to drive for results and motivate others to achieve their potential.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications (Word Excel Power Point) and hotel property management systems (HIS or similar).
  • High proficiency in English language oral and written skills
  • Effective problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and maintain composure at all times.
  • A passion for excellence.
