This is an exciting time to be joining Haverings Education Directorate a thriving multiprofessional service comprising a range of teams all dedicated to improving the lives of Haverings children and young people.
We are seeking an Education Adviser with a specialism in Special Educational Needs Disabilities (SEND) and Inclusion. The Education Adviser will join the Havering School Improvement Service (HSIS) but work closely alongside colleagues from Haverings SEND and Alternative Provision (AP) Service. The Education Adviser will lead on the implementation of the newly established SEND Peer Learning Programme adopting a test and learn approach in collaboration with school leaders and local authority teams. The SEND Peer Learning Programme is a comprehensive four stage model designed to enhance inclusive educational practice in Haverings schools.
We are seeking applications from those with significant experience in education including as a senior or middle leader either in schools or a local authority. This should include experience and knowledge focused on improving outcomes for pupils with SEND and of achieving organisational change and implementation related to SEND / inclusion. Applicants should have a proven track record of effective collaboration and leadership and able to demonstrate their ability to support changes in culture and practice.
*In anticipation of receiving applications from individuals still working in schools or keen to combine this role with other roles we are open to different terms of employment. This relates to working patterns (i.e. FTE) duration of contract and contractual relationship (e.g. fixed term secondment external Adviser) while remaining within the overall financial envelope.
