Job Description

Were on the hunt for a Financial Crime Manager to join our high performing Sydney based team in a permanent role.

Youll be responsible for the management of the Fraud UMR Investigations Team which reviews and investigates fraud events and unusual matters raised by the Fraud Operations Team. This role includes the daytoday management of the team including direct reports (Financial Crime Analysts) and will also form part of the Fraud Leadership Team reporting to the Head of Fraud.

What youll do

  • Manage the daily operations within the team including leave absence and resourcing requirements
  • Act as a subject matter expert and handle escalations relating to high risk or complex cases
  • Prioritise and allocate work to the team including monitoring of productivity quality and individual KPIs of direct reports
  • Manage relationships with various levels of stakeholders across the business (e.g. Fraud Operations KYC and FCC)
  • Document and uplift processes to ensure efficiency and that IBAL remains compliant with regulators
  • Identify risks to IBAL or its customers relating to fraud or financial crime and escalate potential issues events or breaches to management or appropriate stakeholders such as FCC or the Fraud Risk Team.

What were looking for

  • 3 years experience in financial crime or fraud with exposure to AML/CTF operational processes at a Team Leadership/Management level
  • Extensive experience as a subject matter expert in financial crime/fraud with demonstrated excellence in time management leadership and adaptability
  • Fraud/AML accreditation highly desirable (ACAMS/ICA)
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience reporting on financial crime data with in depth knowledge of the AML/CTF Act and Rules or previous experience with SMRs highly desirable
