Job Description
Role Overview: As a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic youll maintain and repair various heavy equipment including forklifts cranes and loaders. Youll diagnose troubleshoot and ensure the safe operation of equipment with travel to other terminals in Texas and across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections.
- Ensure repairs comply with safety regulations.
- Repair/replace components like engines transmissions and hydraulics.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to resolve issues.
- Operate shop equipment and assist other mechanics as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and equipment advancements.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a mechanic preferred.
- Knowledge of diesel engines hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Strong problemsolving skills and a valid drivers license.
- Must have own tools.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Regular climbing balancing stooping and crouching.
- Work in various weather conditions and loud environments.
