Job Description
The Service Porter will be responsible in maintaining the dealerships appearance assisting with vehicle movement and delivering exceptional customer service.
This entrylevel position is ideal for candidates interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly and professional attitude answers their questions and directs them to the appropriate person or location.
- Determines if customers coming into service have an appointment. Records customers name VIN tag number mileage and existing vehicle damage (walk around)
- Move and park vehicles in the dealership premises and to maintain flow of traffic.
- Drives vehicles to and from service lane service stalls and parking lot as needed.
- Keep the dealership lot driveways and sidewalks clean organized and presentable.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Retrieve customer vehicles at cashier for pickup; wait at vehicle for customer thank customers for their business.
- Install disposable seat covers steering wheel covers floor mats and I.D. tags in all the vehicles taken in for service.
- Support service departments with various tasks as required (i.e. Replenish vehicle fluids and minor vehicle assistance tasks)
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
Qualifications :
Required:
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
- Valid Drivers license and good driving record.
- Must be willing to undergo preemployment compliance requirements: Drug testing background check MVR.
Additional Information :
(The Porter Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $18.00.)
Schedule:
- Part Time
- Work days: Saturdays Monday Wednesday (9am to 6pm)
