Job Description

Sr Finance Analyst

Position objective

  • Prepares accounting and other required reports and projections based on the analysis and production performed for comparison to budget. Work with Operations team and Plant Managers to address negative trends.
  • Receive and verify expense reports and invoices from vendors and suppliers. Process payments to vendors per company policies. Reconciling payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate. Solve payment or invoice discrepancies and documentation.
  • Analyze and reconcile inventory transactions for accuracy and completeness in support of monthly financial reporting.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
  • Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting the cost and profitability of products
  • Coordinate new capital expenditures & ensure that the current assets are being maintained in the accounting system(s). Tracks spending on new projects ensures adds deletes transfers are being recorded and reported appropriately.
  • Analyze costs of materials processes and labor to determine opportunities and methods for reduction of production and inventory costs
  • Analyze and report variances on work orders for manufacturing and fabrication
  • Assist Plant controller during Budget FCST & Month end close processes
  • Formulate policies and procedures to improve internal controls compliance and efficiency

Position requirements

  • Education: BS in Accounting or Finance
  • Languages: English
  • Years of Experience: 4
  • Must have strong financial control background and demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills. Must demonstrate good judgment well developed business ethics integrity and consultancy skills.
  • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and related financial software.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills hardy conflict resolution abilities required. Must have the practice to communicate persuasively and effectively and manage multiple priorities in an intense deadline driven environment.
  • Must be able to manage develop train motivate and manage staff on a day to day basis establish goals and provide performance feedback per Legrand performance management process. Must be able to provide the right balance of guidance/support and autonomy based upon employees’ level of skills knowledge and competence
