Job Description
Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Ambulatory Clinic Nurse to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment planning nursing diagnosis implementation and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act scope of practice along with recognized professional standards and Health Partner and employer specific protocols and policy.
Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights. Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.
Based in the Pulmonary & Sleep Clinic on the Methodist hospital campus in St Louis Park our Pulmonary & Sleep Clinic team is an incredibly dynamic disciplinedforward thinking busy & fun group of people! This position offers the chance to work directly with our patients not onlythe team of nurses & clinical support techs but alsoour medical providers respiratory therapists &Sleep Educators. The team supports over 20 pulmonary & sleep providers & can see upwards of 130 patients per day both inperson & virtually.
Our clinic services all manner of lung & sleep disorders/diagnoses with 5 pulmonary labs performing all types of breathing tests.
The nursingduties include phone triage discharges including patient education in basket management refills prior authorizations & supporting individual providers. There is longevity in the team with 2 of our nurses having been with the clinic for more than 10 years each! This is a very strong team looking for equally strong candidates to join & help grow the department.
This particular position may require occasional rotation to clinic offsites.
Full orientation & training will be provided for all aspects of the nursing position within the clinic.
Work Schedule:
- Monday Friday
- 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Associate degree or diploma required
- Maintain a current Minnesota registered nurses licensure.
- WI licensure required where applicable.
- Current BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
- No online only courses accepted.
- Demonstrates knowledge of agerelated growth and development necessary to provide appropriate care to the patient population served and ensure safety of patients.
- Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act
- Critical thinking Excellent Interpersonal Skills Fluent in EMR (EPIC) use
- Understanding of Nursing Practice Act and Scope of Practice for various roles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Ambulatory Nursing Experience
- 1 year of prior experience in nursing preferred
- Additional qualifications may be applicable for specialty care
