Job Description

THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role you will audit invoices to be processed daily and enter all expenditures and income in the agency database; check general ledger account numbers vendor numbers and totals before processing invoices for payment; and record journal transfers. Responsibilities also involve verifying completion reconciling with the County general ledger and allocating quarterly expenses to appropriate quarterly reports. This includes accounting for expenses program receipts placements IVE eligibilities salaries and benefits journal transfers contract per diems and other income to be used in the computing of quarterly invoices. You may also assist in completing required CYS reports and have the opportunity to attend trainings and conferences and cross train with other personnel. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Fulltime employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday Friday with a 60minute lunch.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be nonnegotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant or three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
