The Unit Secretary will perform clerical duties for the Rehabilitation Department such as answering telephones greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients. Other duties include but are not limited to filing patient reports retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records. The Unit Secretary should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of treatment ordered in Rehabilitation. This person should demonstrate good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner. Maneuvers through reception area as well as outside storage area. Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone computer and office equipment.
