Coordinates performs and manages all functions for CPE Telcom projects including executing service moves adds changes disconnections. Coordinates the telecom processes including service moves adds changes and disconnects for customer premises equipment projects carrier conversions system procurement and help desk functions. Monitors PBX system performance to assure dependable and uninterrupted operation of telephone communications. Assists in the translating of user needs for communications into better business solutions. Coordinates with other departments to understand and meet their telecommunication needs. Performs correction of PBX alarm conditions. Identifies and replaces malfunctioning or inoperative equipment such as circuit cards or processing units. Determines which backup components should be maintained in stock. Assists in developing implementation plans to upgrade communications systems. Assists in budgetary solutions and requirements for equipment replacement Assists in emergency plans to deal with catastrophic events. Installs specific hardware and software for PBX. Setup and relocation of existing user accounts i.e. voicemail and telephone extensions. Performs all preventive maintenance and minor equipment repairs. Maintains strong productive relationships with all service providers.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  1. Bachelors or equivalent seven 7 years experience in telecommunications.
  2. Strong knowledge of system design and handson ability to assist with the architecture administration maintenance and provision of Avaya PBX system (s87xx and LSPs) and associated gateways
  3. Handson experience working with enterpriselevel contact center solutions including PBX/ACD call routing and workflow management.
  4. Handson experience in scoping planning analysis technical design development implementation evaluations and /or support of new and existing PBX.
  5. Support MAC (Moves/Add/Changes) activities for inhouse systems
  6. Engineering and Administration of Voicemail Mail Systems (including Fax and EMail integrations)
  7. Engineering and Administration of call center applications (e.g. CTI CMS eCAS)
  8. Engineering and Administration of VDNs and Vectoring
  9. Engineering and Administration of Avaya VoIP technologies for all enterprise locations
  10. Manage backups for all telecom systems
  11. Advance troubleshooting and administration skills on Avaya S87xx and LSP series PBXs and Session Manager and associated peripherals to include CLAN IPMEDPRO and IPSI boards as well as all carrier services (DS1 DS3 MPLS etc. and media gateways G450 G430
  12. Coordinate provisioning of all voices services and technologies
  13. Engineering and administration of MUX devices
  14. General administration of PBX functions (e.g.: ARS Call Routing FAC COS COS etc.
  15. Strong telecom security knowledge to prevent toll fraud and infrastructure breaches
  16. Assist in the development of the telephony roadmap
  17. Maintain documentation for al telecommunications systems / devices
  18. Participation in oncall service rotation
  19. Participate and drive postmortem investigations related to all severity 1 and 2 incidents and problems
  20. Perform root cause analysis and determination if root cause identify corrective action to resolve and prevent future occurrences
  21. Identify and validate if corrective action if applicable to prevent future occurrences of incident
  22. Create and maintain proper documentation of policies procedures and technical papers.
  23. Independently works to accomplish general tasks and projects with little direct supervision
  24. Other duties and tasks as assigned deemed necessary for the business. Nott limited to the above.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Avaya Technical certifications.
  2. Technical training in the telecommunications field for network design and management.

Benefits may vary based on employment status i.e. fulltime parttime per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role which includes estimated wages benefits and other forms of compensation is $85841.60 to $160680.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire in which a wide range of factors will be considered including but not limited to skillset years of applicable experience education credentials and licensure.
