Job Description

Lawyer Labour Law

Overview: Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer with 5 years of expertise in labour law. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and flexible virtual law firm with a fasttrack to partnership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labour relations and a proven track record of managing complex cases and leading legal strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of labour relations matters including grievance arbitrations Labour Relations Board proceedings collective bargaining and wrongful dismissals.

  • Lead legal strategy and advocacy while mentoring junior lawyers and managing client relationships.

  • Represent clients at all levels of court including BC Supreme Court Federal Courts and administrative tribunals.

  • Take on increasing responsibilities for firm leadership and management with a clear path to partnership.

  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues in virtual and inperson settings to deliver the highest quality of service.

Qualifications:

  • Called to the Bar in British Columbia with experience in BC Supreme Court and Federal Courts.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employment law.

  • Familiarity with Labour Relations Board processes and arbitrations.

  • Proven ability to independently conduct hearings or trials.

  • A strong record of independently and strategically handling complex cases.

  • Selfmotivated with the discipline to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

  • Interest in leadership roles and motivation to fasttrack to partnership.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $130000 per year plus a performancebased bonus program.
