Position Summary: The position is responsible for supporting product development as it relates to purchasing activity for systems and components ranging from concept and process selection cost modeling and project management. Authorized contractual agent (buyer) of Snapon Incorporated with all Suppliers. Responsible for performing duties relating to the sourcing function such as project tracking tooling and supply contracts POs order followup payment reconciliation and provides administrative back up and support to supervisor. Communicates verbally and in writing with suppliers to solicit quotations for products and expedites delivery of open orders. Coordinates with Engineering Production and Suppliers for initial part runoff. Create additional value by significantly reducing Merchandise or Manufacturing costs. Utilize strategic sourcing principles and purchasing best practices to build longterm relationships with suppliers leverage joint capabilities and foster new product and process innovations.
