Job Description

Learning & Facilitation

  • Director of Learning & Development conducts and supervises all relevant training activities within his/her area of responsibility of the FAENA Hotels operation. This always with due regard to and maintenance of our operational policies and standards international and domestic. He/she shall be primarily responsible for the courses/modules for the General Training the coordination and supervision of departmental Technical/Skills Training and finally in coordination with Regional or Corporate Training department for the Basic Leadership Training.
  • Ensures that the Hotel consistently disposes of an adequate updated and professional training material and equipment. He/she cares that the General Manager and Hotel Manager are constantly informed about the training activities and that all activities are properly and constantly administered.
  • Review the Learning needs analysis for the hotels prior to the budget
  • Followup on all training activities within the hotels
  • Ensure the Hotel is 100 compliant with all Ennismore Trainings
  • Ensure coordination and delivery of training programs of all internal and external providers
  • Champion company provided online and elearning tools and portals ensuring approval processes are in place and executed as well as registrations and completions are monitored and tracked
  • Support  leaders in the development of Departmental Trainers as required
  • Manage the Ennismore PeopleHub Learning Portal and ensure colleague completion of all required training
  • Supervise the completion of compliance training i.e. Ennismore Way AntiBribery Antitrust GDPR Fire Safety School of Change Sustainability First Aid
  •  Able to facilitate training to all levels
  • Demonstrate proactivity in measuring both feedback about the learning experience as well as sustainable behavioural change. Is confident using Ennismore PeopleHub to create reports can analyse and interpret this data to share with key stakeholders. Uses data for decisionmaking
  •  maintain good relations with his/her supervisor the inhouse departmental trainers the Department Heads and supervisors

Talent Development & Performance Management

  • Assist with the annual Talent Review process and with the associated documentation maintained to the required standard.
  • Facilitate the performance management cycle from probation reviews annual performance reviews development plans and goal setting as well as on the job training for Department Heads and in turn their teams
  • Ensure Departments have adequate Departmental trainers and these are well utilised
  • For all supervisory positions have a transparent development programme in place in conjunction with the People & Culture leader.
  • Demonstrate agility in designing and implementing new reports to track Talent Development

Employee Engagement and Communications

  • Represent the organization as an exemplary ambassador of Ennismore and our brands service cultures

Finance

  • Agile in managing budget billing collecting & recording financial transactions 
  • Act on behalf of the business to work through complex situations and reduce risk interpreting and implementing company policies and employment legislation as appropriate
  • Exercise sound judgment and integrity at all times to ensure confidentiality of protected information

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree/ Masters Degree from a reputable university majoring in Hospitality Management Business Administration Psychology or Education
  • Minimum 7 years of total experience in Learning & Development ideally with strong operations background
  • Previous experience in a luxury & lifestyle brand
  • At least 4 years of experience in a clusterbased role
  • High degree of professionalism with strong understanding of hotel operations and business acumen
  • Excellent reading writing and oral proficiency in English language
  • Strong working knowledge of digital tools
  • Strong leadership interpersonal and training skills
  • Excellent communication and customer contact skills
  • Results and service oriented with an eye for details
  • Ability to multitask work well in stressful & highpressure situations
  • A motivator & selfstarter
  • Wellpresented and professionally groomed at all times
  • Preferable to be an Arabic speaker
