Executive Support: Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director of the RABS office and LAR Director of Operations offering strategic insights while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion.
Compliance Management 50:
Ensure that all operations and projects comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies in relation to the animal care and use program. Assist the Manager of Compliance (RABS) and Post Approval Monitor (RABS) in completing IACUC and program compliance reviews including semiannual inspections scheduled research protocol reviews and for cause compliance investigations.
Project Management 50:
Lead and execute tactical projects across the RABS LAR and animal care and use program such as coordinating efforts and facilitating clear communication to ensure seamless project and daytoday operational function organizing meetings/events managing external clients and regulatory agencies. Ensure all projects are delivered on time and meet internal objectives.
Scaling Support: Drive the expansion of operational and compliance functions for the animal care and use program by implementing scalable processes and systems that support the institutions growth trajectory.
Internal Reporting: Lead the creation and dissemination of internal reports related to active projects providing concise and actionable updates to key stakeholders including the IACUC senior administration and/or research community. Ensure that reporting mechanisms are consistent and data driven.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve operational tasks ensuring that all departments can meet their goals without unnecessary delays.
Required Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent experience.
Work Experience:
4 years of relevant experience.
1 year experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.
1 year experience in a regulatory research environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. life sciences regulatory affairs business administration).
Certifications/Licenses:
AALAS certification
Certified Professional IACUC Administrator (CPIA)
Work Experience:
3 years of experience in an animal care and use research program.
Experience with SmartSheets or similar project management software.
Experience with research compliance software (Huron suite or similar product).
Skills
Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fastpaced multidisciplinary environment.
Ability to handle confidential matters with the utmost discretion.
