This unique and handson Special Counsel role offers high visibility with executive leadership providing expert legal advice and leading the legal response for various highprofile projects.
We are seeking a seasoned legal professional with a strong background in commercial disputes an exceptional ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and a proven track record of managing highvalue matters to optimal outcomes.
What Youll Do
- Provide expert pragmatic legal advice on complex commercial disputes
- Act as the primary legal contact for highprofile commercial dispute projects
- Partner with senior business leaders to simplify complex legal matters and deliver commercially sound solutions
- Proactively identify opportunities to mitigate legal risks and enhance outcomes on disputerelated projects
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the legal team
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring efficient and effective resolution of disputes
What Youll Bring
- Law degree and current Australian Practising Certificate (mandatory)
- 15 years PQE in litigation and commercial disputes
- Proven ability to resolve complex disputes on optimal terms in highpressure environments
- Exceptional advocacy contractual interpretation and regulatory expertise
- Ability to provide clear concise advice to senior stakeholders including Csuite executives
- Strong strategic thinking problemsolving and agility under tight timeframes
