Within GREF the Global Real Estate & Facilities Intelligence and Digital Experience (GREF IDX) team empowers GREF with the data they need to make better business decisions manage the Amazon real estate portfolio and deliver a positive employee experience. We are on a mission to use data to inform where when and with whom work gets done at Amazon.
As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer Level 6 at Amazon you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision and of our business intelligence and advanced analytics capabilities within the Global Real Estate & Facilities organization. In this position you will spearhead the development of innovative BI solutions that empower crossfunctional teams to make datadriven decisions and uncover transformative business insights.
Key job responsibilities
Lead a team of BI engineers sharing domain expertise and best practices to elevate the overall BI capabilities
Build visually stunning interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to GREF customers using Amazon QuickSight
Lead the design and implementation of highly complex scalable and highperformance BI architectures and data models to support the organizations strategic business objectives
Use advanced analytics techniques such as statistical analysis predictive modeling and machine learning to uncover hidden patterns and trends in data
Collaborate crossfunctionally with data engineers data scientists and business partners to define and deliver impactful BI solutions that drive business value
Lead the identification evaluation and implementation of new BI tools and technologies to continuously enhance the organizations analytical capabilities
Represent the BI function in strategic business discussions and provide datadriven recommendations to senior leadership
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Statistics Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field
8 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer or similar seniorlevel role
Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex largescale BI architectures and data models
Extensive experience with leading BI tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau Amazon QuickSight Power BI Looker AWS Athena Snowflake)
Deep understanding of data engineering concepts and proficiency in SQL Python or other dataoriented programming languages
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Strong problemsolving critical thinking and analytical skills
Experience leading crossfunctional teams and driving the successful delivery of BI initiatives
Masters degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Data Science Statistics Operations Research)
Extensive experience with Amazon QuickSight
Expertise in advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning predictive modeling and artificial intelligence
Familiarity with cloudbased data platforms (e.g. AWS Google Cloud Azure)
Experience in real estate or workplace industry
