Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. HR Business Manager to support our Wood Products Distribution Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain businesses. This role is perfect for someone passionate about HR strategy who thrives on building collaborative business relationships and is motivated by using their HR expertise to drive change. You will collaborate closely with the Distribution and Sales & Marketing Vice Presidents and their leadership teams providing strategic and tactical guidance on organizational issues and HR solutions to enhance business performance and effectiveness. You will lead the Distribution HR team and offer direct HR support for all employees within the Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain organization. This position will have oversight of union and nonunion facilities and report to the Vice President of HR Operations. Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Distribution HR team
  • Partner with business leader to align on human resource approach/policies and programs to support organizational strategy and goals
  • Utilize data and analytics to drive business decisions and assess organizational effectiveness
  • Identify creative and strategic solutions advise and make recommendations to leaders regarding employee engagement strategic workforce capability and organizational effectiveness
  • Guide leaders through of HR programs processes and strategic initiatives such as performance management employee development recruiting selection and retention inclusion succession planning safety change management hiring compliance and employee relations
  • Evaluate execute and monitor salary action planning annual incentive plans and sales incentive plans
  • Engage in proactive communications with business partners and HR colleagues
  • Provide leadership advice and counsel to the Distribution HR managers and business leaders
  • Provide day to day coaching and performance management guidance to business partners; work with managers and employees to build strong work relationships resulting in high morale productivity and retention
  • Provide day to day guidance and administration of HR policies and processes for nonexempt employees within the Sales & Marketing organization
  • Lead as subject matter expert for HR by business partners
  • Collaborate with corporate HR partners including the benefits labor relations and recruiting teams to align and solve for business partner needs
  • Interpret and advise on HR policy; maintain indepth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day to day management of employees; ensure compliance with all applicable company policies safety guidelines regulations and laws
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Experience:

  • At least 58 years of progressive HR experience preferably within distribution sales & marketing or manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations and personnel over a diverse multistate region is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or other related business area

Core Skills:

  • Leading organizational changes; decisionmaking; understand labor relations and ensure compliance with CBAs; relationship building; ability to influence; recruiting; performance management; passion for growing and developing people; team leadership; strong presentation written and verbal skills; an eye for detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment; ability to prioritize and strategically plan work to be accomplished

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills; acting with urgency; being flexible; being a team player; exercising sound judgment; listening; sense of humor

Technical Skills:

  • Prior PeopleSoft and Power BI experience a plus.
  • Must be experienced with Microsoft Office (Outlook Excel PowerPoint SharePoint)

Certifications:

  • PHR or related HR certification is preferred

Other:

  • Experience working with an hourly workforce preferred; experience working with labor unions a plus

Travel:

  • At least 33 travel

Location: This role can be based in Seattle WA OR Hot Springs AR on a hybrid work schedule (onsite 3x week remote 2x week). This role is not open to those who live in other states or countries.

Compensation:This role is eligible for our annual meritincrease program and we are targeting a salary range of $129200 to $193900 based on your level of skills qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program which offers a cash bonus targeting 20 of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target

Paid Time Off or Vacation:We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition after being employed for six months eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year providing a total of 88 holiday hours.
