Job Description
We are looking for a Data Scientist for Rufus team who will focus specifically on building signals to measure customer shopping journey and progressions for analytical purposes an area that is seeing accelerated will have the opportunity to dive deep into the vast data generated and applying current data analysis methods to produce insights that will improve customer experience and business value. You will get exposed to exciting challenges and opportunities for innovation that arise as we look into complicated customer journeys. As a member of this team youll work closely with data engineers economist and analytics team have fun and help build a framework for offline use cases enabling multiple teams in shopping org to measure success of their CXs specifically where traditional amazon metrics do not work in quantifying the value of CX.
Key job responsibilities
Improving quality of customer journey and shopping progression by refining and leveraging additional amazon engagement signals site wide to be used for analytical purposes.
5 years of data scientist experience
Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression
Knowledge of AWS tech stack (e.g. AWS Redshift S3 EC2 Glue)
MS degree or higher in Applied Mathematics Statistics Computer Science Engineering or related field (PhD preferred)
Experience managing data pipelines
Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
Demonstrated experience and success in leading largescale projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
