Job Description
What We Are Looking For
Reporting to the AVP Innovation & Economic Development the Strategic Partnerships Manager will support the universitys growth in partnerships with business nonprofits government and other collaborators. This position will work across the campus to facilitate new strategic opportunities to various departments with an objective of new revenue research and development advancement multiorganization partnerships and other value driven relationships. Externally the manager will work with key strategic partners and consultants to advance Baylors mission as the leading Christian research university by building relationships facilitating high value opportunities and advancing Baylors brand and perception with key stakeholders.
A Bachelors degree and three years of relevant work experience are required. A Masters degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a relationship manager in support of universitywide corporate relations efforts
- Identify new ways to engage faculty in research or funding opportunities
- Identify and pursue new research contracts and other revenue generating business opportunities with outside partners
- Work with various campus partners and stakeholders to communicate strategic priorities create high value relationships and support of business opportunities
- Support the design and of innovation economic development and other research related strategies to advance Baylors mission as a leading R1 institution
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
