The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) works to ensure Oklahomans have access to better health and better care. Following the completion of initial training remote work within Oklahoma may be considered based on role requirements and performance.

Position Purpose:

The Coordinator will provide critical support to the divisions by overseeing the management of key projects facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring that departmental goals are met. This role includes coordinating data collection process improvement initiatives compliance with federal and state regulations and managing relationships with various stakeholders. Additionally the Coordinator will deliver presentations develop educational materials and maintain effective communication channels to support the agencys mission of improving health outcomes for Oklahomans. The Coordinator is responsible for aligning program activities with the organizations strategic goals and maintaining operational excellence within the division.

Principle Activities May Include:

  • Coordinate with subject matter experts on the creation and writing editing review and/or distribution of communication print and electronic communication materials.

  • Collect develop and analyze data and statistics for planning and improvement purposes ensuring accuracy and validity. Conduct research into best practices evaluate data from various sources and develop comprehensive reports for stakeholders.

  • Manage relationships with external and internal partners acting as the primary point of contact resolving issues effectively and ensuring cultural awareness. Develop and deliver presentations training sessions and outreach activities to various stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws program requirements and proper documentation practices. Compile maintain and submit required reports and recommendations for program improvements.

  • Lead or facilitate process improvement initiatives focusing on business process optimization process mapping and root cause analysis. Identify barriers and recommend interventions for quality improvements and operational excellence.

  • Provide technical assistance develop educational materials and respond to inquiries from program leaders tribal stakeholders and partners. Maintain exceptional customer service and manage resources strategically to support project goals.

  • Schedule attend and actively participate in meetings to discuss project aspects monitor deadlines and resolve problems. Represent the agency in contacts with officials other agencies and providers fostering positive relationships.

  • Develop reports and projectspecific content for webbased dissemination. Produce and analyze database reports utilizing various software applications and prepare materials for evaluating agency and program operations.

  • Perform related work as assigned and assist with special projects as needed. Ensure internal and external customer expectations are met on an ongoing basis.

  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not supervise.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.

Knowledge Skills Abilities and Competencies

The Coordinator role requires strong communication skills for effective collaboration the ability to evaluate performance and coordinate activities across divisions and financial acumen for managing budgets and optimizing resources. Key skills also include strategic thinking and problemsolving to align program activities with broader organizational goals. The most relevant Korn Ferry competencies for this role include Manages Complexity (demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve issues across functions) and Collaborates (building partnerships and working effectively with others to meet shared objectives).

Education and/or Experience:

  • A bachelors degree and two years of professional experience

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education.

Preference may be given to candidates with:

  • Familiarity with AP Style.

  • Experience writing for social media (Facebook X and LinkedIn).

  • Ability to adapt writing voice to unique audiences and reading levels.

  • Ability to understand and apply brand standards.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain sitting for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to move or lift up to 15 pounds at various times.

Work Environment

The office work environment includes regular exposure to general office equipment such as computer equipment phones and copy machines.
