Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative English Learner (EL) Lead to join our team. In this role you will provide leadership and instructional support to EL teachers and general education staff to ensure equitable highquality instruction for English Learners. The EL Lead will coach mentor and collaborate with teachers to enhance language acquisition content accessibility and student achievement while supporting compliance with federal state and district requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructional Coaching: Support EL and general education teachers with strategies for language development scaffolding and engagement.
- Professional Learning: Lead professional development aligned with WIDA standards and EL best practices.
- Curriculum Support: Collaborate on adapting instructional materials to support language growth and content access.
- DataDriven Instruction: Analyze student data to inform instruction and interventions.
- Collaboration: Partner with staff to ensure inclusive equitable learning experiences for ELs.
- Compliance & Testing: Organize and administer WIDA testing; monitor EL plans and reclassification.
- Enrollment & Scheduling: Lead EL new enrollments and assist with EL student schedule development.
- Family Engagement: Foster strong communication and partnerships with EL families.
Salary:
This is a VRS qualified stipend paid at a Tier 7 level in the amount of $6625 annually
