The Assistant Director of Multimedia PostProduction plays a vital leadership role within the Teaching & Learning Innovation group at Mays Business School. Working under the direction of the Director of Learning Media this position leads a talented postproduction team responsible for creating highquality digital media assets including video audio and motion graphics. These assets support the schools commitment to excellence in online and digital learning.
As a key contributor to a dynamic and forwardthinking unit the Assistant Director manages postproduction workflows allocates team resources and cultivates a collaborative environment that encourages creativity efficiency and continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to help shape the digital learning experience for graduate students in one of the nations top business schools.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six years of relevant experience in digital media production or related field including 5 years of leadership experience in a postproduction or related environment including team supervision and workflow management or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in a related field.
Eight years of relevant experience in digital media production.
Experience working in higher education or online learning environments.
Demonstrated success in leading a highperformance creative or technical team.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Expertlevel proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office tools.
Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems such as Facilis AWS and Azure.
Strong understanding of branding motion graphics and postproduction workflows.
Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Effective communicator with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Familiarity with AIdriven media tools accessibility standards and emerging postproduction trends.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and drive innovation in workflow design.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Team Management
Provide direct supervision and daytoday leadership for the Instructional Multimedia Coordinators ensuring role clarity aligned priorities and accountability for delivering highquality media products.
Mentor and support the professional growth of team members by identifying development opportunities offering constructive feedback and cultivating a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Serve on the Learning Media management team contributing to strategic planning and crossfunctional collaboration across the Teaching & Learning Innovation group.
Inspire develop and lead a highperforming postproduction team committed to creativity collaboration and excellence.
Set team goals monitor performance and ensure access to resources that reflect evolving industry standards and institutional priorities.
Oversee recruitment onboarding and training processes for staff and student interns supporting a strong talent pipeline and smooth team integration.
Handle special projects and evolving priorities as assigned by the Director of Learning Media.
Project Oversight and Workflow Optimization
Lead the postproduction process for digital media projects ensuring timely highquality deliverables that meet academic goals and branding standards.
Collaborate with faculty instructional designers and other stakeholders to align media production with course objectives and learner experience goals.
Design and refine workflows that streamline operations promote consistency and optimize use of team resources.
Monitor and report on project progress using Wrike providing visibility into milestones timelines and team workload.
Track software licensing costs and recurring service fees to inform resource planning and maintain operational continuity.
Document and maintain best practices and standard operating procedures to support scalable repeatable success.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Champion high production standards across all postproduction outputs ensuring alignment with brand guidelines technical specifications and accessibility requirements.
Collaborate with the Learning Quality team to implement schoolwide quality assurance practices for video audio and motion graphics content.
Conduct final reviews and approvals of digital media deliverables to ensure consistency clarity and professional learner experience.
Lead the creation and ongoing refinement of a mediaspecific style guide for Flex Online in coordination with Learning Quality and related teams.
Technology and Innovation
Identify and implement emerging tools platforms and practices that enhance the postproduction pipeline and elevate the overall media experience.
Recommend and evaluate hardware and software solutions that support a modern agile and forwardthinking media operation.
