Title: Administrative Assistant Special Education DepartmentSupervisor: Director/Assistant Director of Special EducationLocation: Administration BuildingPosition is subject to interview. Position Summary: Provide secretarial assistance to the Director/Assistant Director and building Principal as needed. Serve as a liaison between the Director/Assistant Director and others (parents teachers service providers outside agencies about Preschool Awarded Grants Medicaid RIDE etc.. Support the Director/Assistant Director with messages to/from families and district staff to support the preschool and students with disabilities. Ensure student files and other documentation are kept confidential and filed appropriately. Collect and prepare data reports using ASPEN and other technology platforms to analyze data and draft reports for Medicaid and Awarded Grants. Support Director/Assistant Director with data entry to the state or district through district and online platforms. Per request compile data for and prepare reports for the Director/Assistant Director. Assist in managing accurate records of requisitions and logs regarding Awarded Grants Preschool and MTSS budgets including ordering materials and general purchasing. Assist in managing documents files and records to comply with district state and federal regulations. Ability to access and utilize the RIDE or ASPEN programs to provide data reports. Monitor and support the IT department and Directors in completing the special education census with data submission to RIDE according to state deadlines. Other secretarial duties assigned by the Building Principal Director and Assistant Director. Minimal Qualifications:High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years secretarial/office education is keyboard rate of 50 w.p.m. after error reduction of 5 (five) or knowledge of and use of Microsoft Word Excel and Google (email).Demonstrated ability in regards to office practices and procedures as well as the use and operation of basic office office expertise with respect to office protocol including confidentiality and communication and organizational skills plus the ability to interact with the public in a professional and courteous be able to perform work in an organized manner and be Of Employment: Work year round with salary as determined by the agreement between the West Warwick School Committee and Council 94..
