Job Description
- Disability Support Worker / Supported Independent Living (SIL)
- Cameron Park NSW
- Must be happy to do some personal care
- Must have Drivers Licence and Full Comprehensive Insurance.
- Must be happy with some travel (up to 30 minutes)
- Experience with mental health disorders
- Experience withEpilepsy management

Lifestyle Solutions provide innovative and flexible personcentered support for people living with a disability. Support Worker to assist a customer to become more independent in their own home and in the community.
As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include:
- Mentoring and skill development guiding customers to explore and develop their personal interests/hobbies
- Coaching independent living skills such as cooking domestic and social skills
- Administering medication and adherence to individual support plans
- Completing clear concise and factual handover notes and incident reports
- Providing personal care such as toileting showering feeding and dressing when required
- Helping customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities
- Personal care is a must and must be comfortable and knowledgeable in doing so.
- Epilepsy management knowledge is essential.
- Community Access will also be a requirement at certain times.
- Strong understanding of mental health conditions (depression anxiety schizophrenia mood disorders).
- Understanding of mental health crisis management.
- Basic computer skills (data entry record keeping scanning printing).

- Be willing to be work a variety of shifts which includes mornings afternoons evenings awake shifts sleepovers and weekends
- Versatile communication skills including the ability to interact with both verbal and nonverbal customers
- Current drivers license (mandatory requirement)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain)
- Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003
- Formal qualifications in Disability Community Services or similar would be advantageous
- Be compassionate reliable and punctual
