Job Description

Job Title: Site SuperintendentSingle Family


Objective: Join a dynamic growing company where your leadership shapes the future of residential communities.
We are seeking a highly motivated experienced and deadlinedriven Construction Superintendent to oversee the field operations for our multiresidential apartment construction projects. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on field operations team management site safety and efficient project delivery.

1. Field Operations & 40

  • Lead daytoday site operations for singlefamily projects
  • Support multifamily project as needed
  • Ensure materials labor inspections and equipment align with project schedules and budgets
  • Troubleshoot site issues and maintain efficient site logistics

2. Leadership & Team Development 25

  • Supervise foremen team leads and subcontractors
  • Mentor and train field personnel; conduct performance evaluations
  • Foster a positive respectful and collaborative work environment

3. Safety & Quality Control 20

  • Maintain and enforce strict adherence to OSHA and company safety standards
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of workmanship and construction quality

4. Communication & Documentation 15

  • Maintain daily logs punch lists DNR reports equipment logs etc.
  • Report progress to Project Managers and internal teams
  • Participate in project meetings and ensure transparency across departments
  • Take full ownership of field activities for assigned multifamily and multiresidential sites
  • Coordinate with subcontractors vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Enforce compliance with plans specs safety standards and timelines
  • Participate in jobsite walks punch lists closeout processes and inspections
  • Support estimating and business development during preconstruction/bidding as needed
  • Provide regular feedback on construction processes for continued improvement
Requirements

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or a related field or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a construction leadership role
  • 3 years of proven supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Valid drivers license with reliable transportation to and from job sites
  • OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Strong knowledge of local state and federal building codes including the ability to interpret and ensure code compliance for singlefamily homes and multiresidential projects
  • Indepth understanding of construction quality control practices site inspections and proper documentation
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints plans and specifications
  • Experience with construction scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of safe operating practices for construction equipment and ability to identify maintenance issues
  • Strong planning and organizational skills including design resource allocation and contingency planning
  • Excellent communication problemsolving time management and decisionmaking abilities
  • Ability to adjust priorities in a fastpaced dynamic construction environment

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in Construction Management or related field
  • 8 years of superintendentlevel experience in residential or commercial construction
  • Certifications in Telehandler and/or Aerial/Boom Lift Operation
  • CPR/First Aid certified

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods (up to 10 hours/day)
  • Frequent bending kneeling twisting crouching and crawling
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at various heights
  • Comfortable working on multistory buildings and active construction sites
  • Regular 4550 hour work week with flexibility to work extended hours when required

Work Environment

This position is based on active construction sites and involves exposure to a variety of weather conditions. The role may include working in dusty noisy environments and navigating uneven terrain or incomplete structures. Candidate must be comfortable working on multistory buildings and maintaining safety compliance in all conditions.

Special Requirements

  • Regular travel is required (instate and occasionally outofstate as business expands)
  • May require overnight stays near job sites depending on project location
  • Must be able to manage multiple job sites and travel between them daily as needed
  • Must be willing to work occasional evenings or weekends based on project deadlines or emergencies
