Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree or an equivalent of education and work experience plus a minimum of two 2 years of relevant professional experience including experience with customer service computer or technologyrelated services and desktop support.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two 2 years of relevant professional experience. Experience with customer service computer or technologyrelated services desktop support systems management and automation computer accessibility support and archival/library applications.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the Ottenheimer Library IT Coordinator ensure accessible student technology in the Learning Commons Library and Adaptive Technology Lab;
Perform system management for laptops desktops and other technologies including setups configurations repairs deployments software updates patch management and preventive maintenance;
Maintain inventory of over 400 laptops for circulation to students.
Provide direct support to faculty staff and students both virtually and in person within the library;
Provide training and technical guidance to student employees who serve as technology tutors ensuring they follow IT best practices;
Consult with Learning Commons directors and employees on a variety of technology issues including new equipment purchases software options and other solutions;
Report on statuses successes problems and outages in a professional and timely manner;
Coordinate with the service desk operations within the universitys IT Services;
Ensure the documentation of procedures standards project management activities and change control processes;
Perform other duties as assigned.
