Hiire is helping Condukt a wellfunded UKbased startup hire a Full Stack Engineer for their new office in Porto.
The company
Our customer is a business identity platform that enables the onboarding of businesses of any size easily and instantly. Our products create a trust for financial service providers (our customers) to seamlessly verify onboard and monitor businesses (their clients).
Position Overview
We are looking for a FullStack Engineer to join our team. You will be an early shaper of the design and architecture of the frontend and how it interacts with our core platform and work closely with the founding team to deliver 10x value to our clients.
As an earlystage startup we pride ourselves on our ability to roll up our sleeves and build from scratch. We will be shipping code frequently and learning as we go while satisfying all critical security performance and uptime requirements for our clients.
We all love to build scale and grow. Our leadership team has experience building products scaling teams and optimizing for growth while working with ambitious engineers from tech unicorns.

Responsibilities
- Design the core of OUR platform by building a robust secure and resilient data ingestion layer
- Deliver customerfacing APIs and a UI Portal for a selfservice product
- Architect and build scalable performant UIs using (React SSR/ISR) and
Tailwind CSS - Implement efficient data fetching strategies with React Query / SWR
- Impact and shape the engineering culture by continuously improving software
engineering practices and processes
Qualifications
- Effective and selfdriven builder
- 5 years of experience building fullstack applications with modern web
technologies: (React SSR/ISR) TypeScript Tailwind CSS and React
Query/SWR - 5 years of experience building and owning a complete endtoend technology stack (Backend Frontend CI/CD Logging Monitoring Alerting)
- 3 years of Python familiarity
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (or equivalent: AWS Azure)
- Experience in designing customerfacing RESTful APIs and asynchronous
architectures (e.g. queues pub/sub lambdas webhooks) - Strong experience with relational database modelling (using PostgreSQL or MySQL)
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices such as DevOps and CI/CD
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile
environment - Work authorization in Portugal
It would be a plus if you have
- Experience writing web sers
- Experience working with mocking stubbing and snapshot testing
- Familiarity with Playwright Vitest and Zustand
