Job Description
Your Mission
As a Domain Architect for the Ricardo Platform part of the General Marketplace Business Unit you will own and evolve the architectural vision of Switzerlands leading online auction marketplace. This is a highimpact role where you will shape the future of a platform handling close to CHF 1 billion in transactions annually.
Youll translate business strategy into scalable technical design help teams implement architectural best practices and ensure cohesion across contexts like listing selling buying and payments.
Were on a journey to modernise a beloved platform and we need your expertise to guide it.
Specifically you will:
- Design and evolve the Ricardo domain architecture using DomainDriven Design (DDD)
- Define subdomain structures and ensure architectural coherence across teams
- Translate business goals into a longterm technical roadmap
- Collaborate with Team Architects Engineering Managers and Product Leads to align strategy and delivery
- Lead domainwide modernisation initiatives such as authentication revamps or eventdriven architecture
- Evaluate new technologies run PoCs and introduce innovations that improve developer experience and system scalability
- Promote a culture of learning by mentoring engineers and facilitating architectural workshops

Qualifications :
What will you bring to the ride
- Significant experience in software architecture roles ideally within largescale platforms
- Strong foundation in DomainDriven Design and building decoupled systems
- Handson knowledge of cloudnative tech (preferably GCP Google Cloud Platform) microservices and distributed systems
- Strategic mindset and ability to align technical direction with business goals
- Excellent communicator who can drive consensus across teams and stakeholders
- Passion for mentoring and raising architectural maturity across the organisation
