Position : Debt Collection Client Services Representative (LATAM Hiring)
Client: Real Estate Industry
Working Hours : Monday to Friday: 8am 5pm CT
Salary Range : 1600 USD 2000 USD
About the Role:
Seeking a Debt Collection Client Services Representative to manage delinquent rental accounts for a portfolio of 23 residential properties in Houston Texas. Each collector will handle roughly half the properties working closely with tenants to resolve outstanding balances before accounts are escalated to collection agencies.
This is a highpriority role requiring strong communication negotiation skills and a friendly yet firm approach. You ll be the key point of contact between the property owner and tenants with overdue rent.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively contact tenants via phone email and SMS to collect overdue rent
- Use VoIP tools to maintain a local (Houstonbased) presence
- Record all interactions and track followups
- Negotiate repayment plans based on tenant circumstances
- Escalate unresolved cases as necessary
- Maintain a professional and respectful tone at all times
- Prioritize accounts by lease value and delinquency status
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Fluent in English both spoken and written
- Highly outgoing persuasive and confident on the phone
- Comfortable asking for money and reading people over the phone
- Experience with phonebased collections or sales (must be more than just emailbased work)
- Strong interpersonal skills; you enjoy talking to people and problemsolving
- Techsavvy and resourceful; able to navigate software and VoIP tools easily
- Selfmotivated and able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Based in Latin America (Colombia Mexico Argentina preferred)
- Access to a personal laptop or desktop (company equipment provided later if needed)
- Experience using VoIP or CRM tools
- Prior background in rent collection debt collection or customer service/sales roles
