Safety Officer Risk Management THPG

Work hours:FullTime Monday Friday occasional travel within the DFW metroplex.

What You Will Do:

Specific responsibility for planning implementation and management of Environment of Care (EOC): OSHA Life Safety Emergency Preparedness and Management programs within Federal/State and THR guidelines. 30
Responsibility for education training and coaching of facility staff and leadership relevant to but not limited to EOC issues OSHA Life Safety Emergency Management Joint Commission EPA NFPA DEA TDHDSHS etc. 30
Prepares and analyzes safety reports from surveillance of the medical office practices. Conducts interviews with clinic staff and management related to EOC OSHA Emergency Management and Hazardous Materials. Maintains reporting documents and forwards pertinent information to appropriate key stakeholders. Escalates any urgent findings to Director Risk Management. Always supportive in the training and delivery of regulatory requirements. 30
Attendance and involvement in appropriate committee meetings organization meetings and coordination of plans to promote compliance with specified regulatory requirements. 10

Experience2 Years Patient safety risk management and/or quality experience Req

LVN Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire Req Or
MA Medical Assistant Upon Hire ReqSkills Ability to interpret regulatory standards and apply them to the ambulatory care setting. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate interdisciplinary teams. Ability to develop action plans to mitigate identified risks in the clinic setting. Proficient with Microsoft Excel MyRounds RISI dashboards and other databases to extract rounding data. Ability to time manage and create own workflow.
