Position Summary
Ensemble Arts is looking to hire a Events Kitchen Assistant. TheEvents Kitchen Assistantis responsible for preparing and finishing all hot and cold foods in accordance with event recipes & standards.
This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00$24.00.
Benefits for PartTime roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.
This position will remain open until August 1 2025.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work in a clean organized and efficient manner in a highpressure environment
- Have experience on multiple stations in the kitchen
- Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meets Events standards
- Must have excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking
- Assists the Culinary Management team with food preparation as assigned
- Maintains a working knowledge of food preparation for standard menu items
- Maintains a clean work environment including floors and passages
- Cleans kitchen and equipment as assigned by the Culinary Management team
- Assists in keeping all food storage areas refrigerators freezers etc. clean and organized
- Assisting the unloading of deliveries
Qualifications
- Professional work ethic
- 2 years of related offpremise catering/cook experience
- Prepare and execute key components of dishes while ensuring quality and accuracy
- Effective communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisors
- Flexible working hours including weekends and evenings when required
- Excellent leadership interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently resourcefully and proactively solve issues
- Support their fellow cooks by being a team player
- Ability to meet physical demands including extended periods of standing and walking throughout the day; able to lift and carry 30 pounds push/ pull up to 75 pounds
- Culinary degree is preferred but not required
